This beautiful, little bamboo toothbrush by Truthbrush has soft plant based bristles. They are made up of 62% castor oil and 38% nylon, so use less plastic than many other toothbrushes. ( They are working hard to find a way to eliminate the plastic completely, so watch this space!)
It has been perfectly scaled down from the adult version to suit children aged 8 years and under.
The handle is made from sustainable, naturally anti-bacterial bamboo which has been stylishly crafted, with a white coated end to make it easier to keep clean, as well as co-ordinate your bathroom!
If you haven't yet introduced your children to a bamboo toothbrush, we would highly recommend you give them this one to try!
People often ask me how long a bamboo toothbrush will last, and the answer is simple- the same as a normal one! So we recommend you replace your toothbrush every 3 to 4 months.
It comes packaged in recyclable tissue and cardboard. The sweet panda on the packaging was designed by children’s author and illustrator Jane Cabrera.
When you want to dispose of this toothbrush you will need to pull out the bristles with pliers (as they are biodegradable but not compostable) and put them in the bin before you place the handle in the compost.
Alternatively, you could keep the handle to use as a plant cane or paint stirrer but better still, keep the bristles on and use the toothbrush to clean difficult to reach corners in your house!
